报告人简介♡： 廖川博士现为美国亚利桑那州立大学可持续发展学院教授，社会科学综合类顶级期刊《World Development》主编。于康奈尔大学自然资源与环境学获得博士学位，曾在密歇根大学环境与可持续发展学院从事博士后工作🌹👨🏻🦯➡️，主要从事环境和可持续发展领域的跨学科研究👨🏻🚀。研究课题包括土地所有制与土地利用变化、牧民流动性和生计、社区自然资源管理👨🏼🍳🧜🏼、旱地可持续性和可持续能源转型等🏌️♀️👨🏼🔧。他在东非和中亚地区开展了一系列理论和实证研究，成果发表在Science, Nature Food, World Development, Development and Change等期刊。
报告内容🧑🎨： Humanity faces a grand challenge as we seek to enhance food production, improve livelihoods, and preserve ecosystem services. Ongoing transformations in socio-environmental systems make it imperative to understand how to achieve the twin goals of human wellbeing and environmental sustainability. Using the example of large-scale land transactions, commonly known as ‘global land rush’ or ‘land grabbing,’ this talk discusses how to use spatial science to examine the human-environment interactions and analyze their sustainability outcomes from local to global levels. |
